Forgotten Concepts of the 90's: TMNT The Next Mutation

The title says it all. Like "Dexter's Rude Removal", there have been many long forgotten concepts of various ideas for famous movies and cartoons. Some of them good, others...not so much. The Next Mutation is one of them. I'll start off by saying I am a big fan of the Ninja Turtles. Despite people calling it a kids' show, I have come to realize that there's more to TMNT than what people say. It's a story about four brothers who face incredible odds and challenges, overcoming them by working together. But on to Next Mutation. Back during the 90's this was suppose to be the fourth movie of the TMNT franchise. It would have been a big departure in how the turtles were portrayed, such as giving the character's powers and introducing a fifth turtle named Kirby, named after Jack "The King" Kirby, one of the greatest comic artists of all time. The idea was (thankfully) canned, but resulted in the short lived and terrible live action series, "Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation." Here's a picture of one of the many concept art pieces of Kirby:

It's for the best that this movie was canceled, or else it would have ruined the turtles forever.

Dexter's Rude Removal

I have always been a big fan of animation. After all these years, I still admire all the hard work and quality of cartoons I have grown up with, one of the them being Dexter's Laboratory, one of the greatest cartoons ever aired, in my opinion. So imagine my surprise when I learned of an unaired episode from this great show. "Dexter's Rude Removal" is it's name, and it certainly is living up to the name based on the description. This episode never aired on TV due to the amount of vulgar language that was in it. It was only aired at comic-cons in the 1990's, but since then it hasn't seen the light of day. Naturally, I became curious to learn more about this, so I investigated further to learn more about this intriguing episode. I soon came upon more fascinating details from Adult Swim, a late at night TV block on Cartoon Network, home of Dexter. A commercial had aired, stating that the station would be airing it if enough support was heard. I hope that this will happen soon, as I am building up with excitement as I type this post. "Dexter's Rude Removal" is considered as a legend on the internet, and the possibility to see this never before piece of the show's history just sounds to good to be true.

The synopsis is as follows: Dexter feels that Dee Dee's rudeness is becoming a restriction, so he decides to use a device on her than renders her polite and charming. However, as usual, Dee Dee causes something to go wrong to go, and it separates Dee Dee and Dexter into a good polite half and a bad rude half. The rude halves swear and do other bad things and Dexter and Dee Dee must stop them before the rude halves  do something really bad.

Writer's Block

If there's one thing that frustrates me, it's when your mind goes blank just as your ready to type something. It's so annoying when you are prepared to start, then you just continue to stare at it like it's just going to just appear right in front of you. It's so hard to overcome, and makes your job much harder than it's supposed to be.

So tired...

I've been feeling a bit down for a couple of days now. I'm just so tired of all the huge amounts of school work I've been getting for the past few weeks. It feels so overwhelming for me at times. I hardly have the time to do any of the things I used to do, like hang out with friends, play video games, sleep, etc. Sometimes I feel so tired and frustrated that I feel like I should just give up and not bothering to do the work. But I know that won't help me one bit. So I've been trying to keep positive thoughts while I work. But I can't wait for the weekend, because I'll finally have a chance to relax and sleep. Then I'll feel more energize to complete my work.
